Incredible.

I need to bust out Opiate for my afternoon carpool run.
I haven’t seriously listened to Tool since Aenima. But 13 years since the last LP is a LONG time, even by modern standards. The Beatles’
entire
mainstream career was like 6 years. That always blows my mind.

I mean, I’m honestly super okay with it given the quality of the album. Legal issues surrounding its release were rumored far and wide, so who knows how long this was sitting gathering dust. But yeah, it’s amazing.

Listening to it now. I like it so far. Seems a lot more mellow than their earlier stuff.

It's very progressive. I love it. Gonna listen a few more times tonight.

Man. I absolutely loved D escending, but other than that nothing really stood out to me. Like it was all good and I’d happily listen to the album again in the background ... But to me the album is m issing the iconic riffs and vocal power that brings me back to so many of their songs. Sounds “ generically Tool”

I plan on listening to this on repeat throughout the day. I’ve been a fan since Aenima came out.

If you haven’t listened to Lateralus or 10,000 Days, i highly recommend that you do. They’re great albums.

If you haven't listened since Aenima then you've missed their best (and arguably second best) albums (prior to Fear Inoculum)

Oh man, thanks for the reminder. Just pulled it up on Spotify. Sounds so good so far - good old Tool!

Its....pretty fuckin good. not that I should be surprised but I’ve been a little hit or miss with some of their stuff and I’ve liked it all so far.

Yeah, the title track was good, but nothing really dug its claws into me the way Lateralus did.
Still, new Tool album! Worth it!

my son was 3 when they last released a record...he’s 16 now and beat me to listening to it as I had to wait to get home. Halfway through now and it’s everything I hoped it would be so far. Now to see them live...

So far Invincible and 7empest are my favorite tracks. You can hear the mix of their older sound, and the progression through the years. I’m absolutely digging it so far.
